Important Notices

  • Club leisurewear for Christmas. Please place your order asap to avoid disappointment. Prices as follows:

Tracksuits: Adult - €85, Ages 13/14 - €75, Ages 5/12 - €65.
Hoodies: Adult - €45, Ages 13/14 - €40, Ages 5/12 - €35.
Rainjackets: Adult - €45, Ages 13/14 - €40, Ages 5/12 - €35.
Windcheater: Adult - €25, Ages 13/14 - €25, Ages 5/12 - €20.

  • The adult games committee are currently looking to fill management teams for the 2014 season. If anyone is interested in getting involved, please contact Martin Keirnan by Friday 29th November 2013.
  • Christmas Draw. There are now 750 Books of tickets in circulation among all our teams. Managers and Mentors are asked to ensure that every player on their team panel is given at least 1 Book and to encourage and persuade them to sell their quota. There are very good cash incentives for teams if they reach certain Sales targets. Draw takes place on Friday the 13th of December, the night the Sam Maguire is in the Club. This is a very important fundraiser for the Club and especially our teams so good luck to all .


  • The Lotto jackpot wasn’t won. The winning numbers were 1, 2, 9, 18. Next weeks’ jackpot is €2,000.


  • The DVD from the Strictly Come Dancing Night will be shown on the big Screen in Naomh Barróg. Anyone who missed the night or would like to see it again are more than welcome. It kicks off at 8:30. There will be a DJ and maybe some Karaoke afterwards.
  • Live music from Sting Ray this Saturday the 23rd of November. All welcome

  • Congratulations to the Junior A Footballers who won their relegation final against St Peregrines yesterday. Final score 1-9 to 1-6. Great performances from everyone on the pitch. Special thanks to all the lads from the Junior B's, the hurlers and the retired players who bulked up the team for the game and everyone who came out to support. The team and the club would like to thank Gerry Healy and David Kiernan, who are stepping down from management, for all their hard work over the year.
  • Well done to the Under 21 Hurlers on beating Clontarf in the first round of the championship. Final score Barróg 1-15 Clontarf 0-10. Goal from James Mooney. Great games from all players. They need your support in the quarters which is away to Naomh Fionnbarra Saturday week.
  • Great preparation has been put during the year by the under 7's finishing on Saturday with a great team performance against a very strong St Sylvesters team. Outstanding on the day were Charlie O Mahony, Tadhg Hession, Thomas Devine Tattersalls & Aidan Smith.
  • Hard luck to the Junior Hurlers who lost in their promotion playoff to Whitehall Colmcilles

  • The club AGM will take place on Tuesday 3rd December at 7.30pm. For anyone that hasn't received notification it is also attached in this email. Please note only those who have paid their membership fee in full will be entitled to attend the AGM.
  • Congratulations to David Byrne and Ciara Davidson on the birth of their baby boy Daithi last week.
  • Good luck to the Senior Footballers in the Inter Shield Final against the Garda in Chanel this Sunday at 11. All support needed
  • The juvenile section are still looking for coaches in hurling and football from U8 to U16. No experience necessary. Contact Diarmuid McHugh (0868266255) if interested.
