Important Notices

  • The club AGM will take place on Tuesday 3rd December at 7.30pm. This is the most important meeting of the year. It is important that all fully paid members make an effort to attend this meeting. The Annual Reports are behind the bar for any member who wants one before the meeting. There will be no training in the club on Tuesday night. 
  • Club leisurewear for Christmas. Please place your order ASAP to avoid disappointment. Prices as follows: 
Tracksuits: Adult - €85, Ages 13/14 - €75, Ages 5/12 - €65. 
Hoodies: Adult - €45, Ages 13/14 - €40, Ages 5/12 -€35. 
Rainjackets: Adult - €45, Ages 13/14 - €40, Ages 5/12 - €35. 
Windcheater: Adult - €25, Ages 13/14 - €25, Ages 5/12 - €20.
  • Our Christmas Draw, the Clubs last fundraiser of the year, is just 10 days away. There are approx 900 books of tickets in circulation. All Team managers should ensure that all mentors and players have been given tickets to sell and to start making returns this week. Additional books can be collected at the AGM. Please make one last big push with your players to ensure the success of this Draw. This is a challenge for us all and not just a few. 
  • The Lotto jackpot wasn’t won. The winning numbers were 12, 17, 22, and 24. Next weeks’ jackpot is €2,400. 
  • The Annual Players and Mentors Night will be on Saturday the 21st of December. We hope everyone can make it.

  • Well done to the Senior Hurlers on their win against Thomas Davis in the AHL3 promotion playoff. Final score 2-8 to 0-10. Goals from Dean Flood and Barry Hehir. Thanks for all the support. We will need it again for the final this Sunday against Kilmacud Crokes. 
  • Well done also to the Under 21 Hurling team who won their Championship Quarter final against Naomh Fionnbarra. Final score 0-15 to 0-5. Best of luck to the team in their semi-final Saturday week against Thomas Davis. 
  • Well done to all the mentors and players who took part in round 1 and 2 of the Naomh Barrog / Beann Eadair U11, U12 and U13 football tournament last Saturday. Round 3 and finals take place on the hill of Howth next Saturday, followed by medal presentations. All support from parents welcome. Meeting at 12:15 in Pc Bharrog for 1 o'clock roll call in Beann Eadair's grounds.

  • The juvenile section are still looking for coaches in hurling and football from U8 to U16. No experience necessary. Contact Diarmuid McHugh (0868266255) if interested. 
  • Hard luck to an ex-Barróg player, Amo Lenehan who competed in the All Ireland final with the Dunedin Connolly girls against Na Gaeil. Great achievement to make it to the final.
  • The Mind Your Buddy programme in conjunction with Pieta House is up and running. For many people the Christmas period can be a stressful and vulnerable time in their lives.
