Important Notices

  • Membership for 2014 is now long overdue. Contact Terry Keogh on 0868267556 to organise payment immediately. The following sanctions are in place for those who have not paid in full or have an agreement made with the club:
    • The membership cards will be deactivated. This means that the discount on drinks behind the bar is gone
    • You will not get priority on Dublin Championship match tickets
    • You will not be able to avail of the club physio
    • You will not be able to make a claim to cover injury expenses
    • You will not be able to vote at the AGM.
  • Temporary Social Membership now available for €20 with €20 back on your card to spend behind the bar. A range of local businesses are giving discounts as high as 20% on their goods if you show your valid membership card. Spread the word and help increase the social membership base of the club. All the information is available on the website.
  • Mini Leagues continue next Saturday. 
  • Mentors’ Meeting this Wednesday at 9


  • Champions League Football tonight at 7:45 between Man Utd and Bayern Munich on the big screen in Barróg. Members' drink prices all night.

Match Reports

  • Battling display from the U11s against St Brigids in poor conditions and best of the bunch were Aaron Comerford, Ciaran O'Maonaigh & Alex Nesbitt. Well done all and keep it going.
  • Well done to the U14 Hurling team who beat Naomh Fionnbarra in the league last Saturday. Final score 3-10 to 1-3. Special mention goes to Adam Coulter in goal, Ryan Alexander at full back, Liam O'Brien at centre back and Adam Kenny at centre forward.
  • Congratulations to the U10 camogie team who had a great win over Crumlin. Players of note on the day include Niamh Joyce and Ellen Butler but it was a tremendous team performance.
  • Excellent all round display by the under 8 footballers who competed in a Blitz on Saturday in Parnell’s against strong teams from Parnell’s & St. Vincent’s. In particular, man of the match performances came from Micheal Tierney, Fionn Bourke, T.T. Mcloughlin & Kyle Payne-Lyons
  • The U14 and U15 girls had a challenge match against a U16 team from Clare Castle in Paric Barróg on Saturday which was enjoyed by all.
  • U12 football outstanding performances from Liam Carty and Conor Ryan

Other News

  • The Naomh Barróg Golf Society first outing of 2014 will be held at Balcarrick GC on Friday April 4th. Tee Time 1:30 – 2:15.
  • Anyone interested in sponsoring the club by having an advertisement on the side of the pitch please contact Ciaran Kenny 0876725457.
  • The lotto jackpot of €1,800 was not won. The winning numbers were 7, 18, 19 and 23. Next weeks’ jackpot is €2,000.
  • The club wish Sean Cannon well after his hip surgery.
