Important Notices

  • We had a fantastic Family Day on Saturday. Big numbers down, great weather, brilliant craic. Thanks to all who helped out with the day. Loads of photos taken and will be on the club website shortly. Special thanks to Near FM who hosted their Saturday morning sports show from Pairc Barróg during the Finals of the Football Camp. 
  • The football camp was a massive success with record breaking numbers in attendance again. Thanks to all who took part and all that helped out during the week. 
  • There is still places for the Advanced Camp for those who would like to sign up. Applications can be found in the download section of the club website. 
  • Anyone who has taken tickets for the All-Ireland Football final draw to sell, could the money and names of the people that bought the tickets be returned to the club asap as the draw is less than two weeks away. 

Events

  • Music from The Weavers this Saturday. 
  • World Cup Semi Finals this Tuesday and Wednesday at 9pm on the big screen in Barróg. Members' drink prices all night. 
  • Comedy Night on Friday the 1st of August. Top acts along with White Collar Comedy. €15 entry. We need volunteers. Prize for the winner. Contact Peter (0871387272) if interested. 

Match Reports

  • Great week for the adult hurlers with both teams winning their championship matches midweek and the first team picking up in a win in the league also. 
  • Well done to the ladies football team on beating Fingallians in the league. Final score Barróg 2-7 Fingallians 2-4. 

Other News

  • Best of luck to the Junior A and C Footballers who have knockout championship games this week. The As take on St Oliver Plunketts ER in the quarter final stage in Pairc Barróg at 7:30 on Wednesday. The Cs have St Sylvesters in the last 16 stage in Pairc Barróg at 7:30 on Thursday. Very lucky to get the two home draws so lets take advantage of it and get a big crowd down to support both teams. 
  • Well done to Jason Byrne who scored 2-6 for the Dublin U15s against the Dublin U14s. 
  • The ticket book for the Dublin v Meath Leinster Final on July 20th will remain at the bar in the clubhouse until this Sunday only. Get you name in the book early as there is a big demand for tickets and late applications cannot be accepted.
