Important Notices

  • Anyone who has taken tickets for the All-Ireland Football final draw to sell, could the money and names of the people that bought the tickets be returned to the club by Wednesday as the draw is this Friday. We need people to make one final push to sell these tickets and maximise the money raised through this fundraiser.
  • Good luck to everyone competing in the Golf Classic this weekend. There is still some teeboxes and holes left to sponsor. Contact Ciaran Kenny (0876725457) if interested.
  • The hurling camp was a massive success. Thanks to all who took part and all that helped out during the week. 


  • Music from Desire this Saturday. All welcome.
  • Naomh Barróg Comedy Night on Friday the 1st of August. There will be top acts along with some White Collar Comedy. We are looking for volunteers to do stand up on the night. Prize for the winner. Contact Peter Fitzgerald on 0871387272 if interested.
  • Poker night is on in the club Friday week the 25th of July. Sign up early to get 25% extra chips.

  • Great win for the senior footballers against second in the league Cuala. Final score 1-11 to 1-10. Penalty save from Niall Connolly. Goal from Billy Foley. Impressive senior league debut from Tom Purdy in corner back. Some great scores from Dean Flood late in the game to win the match. Great performances all round.  
  • Hard luck the Junior As and Cs who got knocked out of the championship midweek. A good run by both teams.

Other News

  • Well done to Brian Dennis who represented Dublin in the Leinster Poc Fada on Saturday. He came joint second and lost out by inches in the play-off for second place. He did the club proud.
  • The ticket book for the Leinster Football Final Dublin v Meath on July 20th is open at the bar. With a big attendance expected, members are asked to put their names in the book early.
  • Well done to Jason Byrne who scored 10 points and Josh Rooney who kept a clean sheet in goals for the Dublin U15s against Waterford on Sunday.
  • Congratulations to Joe Flanagan on winning the U12 hurling skills competition hosted by O'Tooles. 10 different clubs were represented at this competition. Well done also to Jamie Agemol, Mathew Nolan and Conor Ryan who also represented Naomh Barróg at this tournament.
  • Good luck to the Senior Hurlers who are in championship on Wednesday night at 7:30 against St Kevins in Dolphin Park. This is a must get a result game for the lads to advance to the quarter finals so all support is appreciated. Good luck also to the Junior hurlers against Commercials in championship in Pairc Barróg on Thursday night at 7:30. Also a crucial game so all support needed.
  • Congratulations to Hannah and James Stewart on the birth of their twin boys Ollie and Alfie.
