Important Notices

  • The 40th Year Anniversary Celebrations will take place between the 20th and 28th of September. A week of fun and festivities is planned. More details to come shortly.
  • Places are filling up quick for Strictly Come Dancing. Get your name in as soon as possible. It will take place on Saturday the 29th of November. Let Tony (0877729492) know if interested in competing.
  • We are getting a second chance to win the Toyota Sponsorship of €5,000. It is very easy. All you have to do is book a test drive with Denis Mahony and tell them you are with Naomh Barróg. We have until November so loads of time to book your test drive. Let Tony (0877729492) know if and when you have booked your test drive.

Match Reports

  • Well done to the U15 Hurlers who secured Division 1 status again for next season with a 3-13 to 2-4 win over Naomh Mearnóg in Portmarnock on Sunday.
  • Well done to the U13 football team who beat Erin’s Isle in the league last Saturday. Special mention goes to Sean Kiernan, Wayne Hannigan, Ciaran Forbes, Gareth Lonergan, Luke Steward and Adam Kenny who saved a penalty. Great all round team performance.
  • Great week for the adult hurlers with both teams picking up wins. The seniors beat Fingallians away in the league 1-20 to 2-12. The Juniors won their championship quarter final against Crumlin 5-12 to 1-7 and their league game against Castleknock 4-12 to 2-13.
  • Well done to all the lads that played the over 40s social football match away to St Vincent’s on Friday night. Best numbers they have had for a match. Keep it up.

  • Congratulations to George Tyndall and Niamh Kirwan who got married over the weekend.
  • Good luck and all support needed to the Ladies Football Team who are in the championship semi-final this Wednesday against O’Tooles in Blunden Drive at 7:15.
  • The ticket book for the Dublin v Donegal All Ireland Semi Final closes on Tuesday the 19th. Tickets to be collected Monday (25th) to Wednesday (27th).
  • Congratulations to Laura McGinley on a great performance for the Dublin U16s, who beat Galway after extra time and now play Cork in the All-Ireland Final.
  • The RTE radio Programme Céilí House will be broadcast live from Naomh Barróg on Saturday September 6th, the eve of the All-Ireland Hurling Final from 9pm.
  • The winning lotto numbers were 7, 12, 14, and 17. The jackpot was not won. Next weeks’ jackpot is €3,000.
  • Naomh Barróg Golf Societies 6th outing takes place next Friday week (August 29th) to Beaversown. Tee times 1:30 to 2:15. Time sheet is now at the bar.
