Important Notices

  • The club are having our 40th Year Anniversary Celebration Gala Dinner on Saturday the 25th of October. The venue will be Naomh Barróg. Great entertainment lined up for the night. 4 course meal. €30 a ticket. We hope everyone can make what is expected to be a fantastic evening. More details to follow soon.
  • Mentors’ meeting this Wednesday at 9pm.
  • Mini-Leagues are on this Saturday at 10am.
  • Social membership now due. Contact Gary in the club bar or club registrar Terry Keogh.


  • Live music from The Big Kahonas this Saturday.
  • Champions League Football Tuesday and Wednesday on the big screen in Barróg. Members’ drink pries all night.

Match Reports

  • Well done to the U14 football team who beat Clanna Gael 5-11 to 1-3 in the leage on Saturday. Great displays from Liam O’Brien, Sean Cleary, Ryan Alexander, Eimhin Campbell, Jack Sheeran and Ben Gallagher. Excellent all round team performance.
  • Good win for the senior hurlers over Castleknock on Thursday night. Final score 2-10 to 1-11 after being 5 points down at half time. Goals from Dean Flood and Nathan Kidd. Special mention to Seadhna Ryan who made his senior debut and was one of the best players on the pitch.
  • Hard luck to the U8 Hurling Team who fought hard against a ver strong team from St Vincents. In particular, top class man of the match performances came from Tomas Tattersalls, Matti Basinski and Ciaran O’Reilly.
  • Well done to the U8 hurlers with both teams putting in very good performances. Special mention to Joe Flanagan and Wayne Dennis who scored the match winning goal for the A team. Special mention from the B team for Cian Glynn and Luke Hodkinson for his never say die attitude. Well done also to Sean Byrne who scored 1-4.
  • Hard Luck to the U12s Camogie team who just lost by one score to Ballinteer St Johns. Great performance by all the girls. Graine Keogh had a super game at half forward.

Other News

  • Hard luck to the Dublin Ladies team in the All-Ireland Football Final. Over 130 people from Barróg went to the game and had a great day out. Thanks to Gerry O Driscoll for organising it.
  • The funeral of Ray (Tonner) Dennis will take place at 10am in St. John the Evangelist Church in Kilbarrack on Tuesday September 30th. May he rest in peace.
  • Good luck and all support needed to all the girls teams this weekend who are competing in championship / cup knockout matches.
