Important Notices

·         This year’s major Naomh Barróg Fundraiser is the Blazing Saddles 100km cycle. The application form and all the details about the cycle are attached. This event will take place on Saturday the 12th of September. Let the members of the committee know if interested.

·         The Annual Golf Classic will take place on Friday the 31st of July in St Annes Golf Club. €300 for a team of four. Contact Andy Cassidy 0872614849 to enter your team.

·         The club are running the All-Ireland Final ticket draw again this year. Top prize is two tickets to the All-Ireland Final and a stay in the 5 star Clontarf Castle Hotel with 4 course dinner and breakfast. Cash prizes for 2nd and 3rd. Tickets cost €10. These are available behind the bar or from Ciaran Kenny 0876725457. Draw is limited to 600 tickets so get them fast. We need help from all teams to make this fundraiser a success.

·         Mini Leagues this Saturday.

·         Mentors’ meeting this Wednesday.

·         The dates for the summer camps are as follows: Football – 6th to 10th of July, Hurling - 13th to 17th of July, Advance Camp – 20th to 24th of July. Registration takes place from 10AM on Saturday mornings. Please register early to avoid disappointment as places are limited.


·         This Friday there will be a reunion of past Mentors and friends in the Club. We hope everyone can attend.

·         Live music from Full Moon in the club this Saturday. All welcome.

·         Naomh Barróg Mega Sale!! Off The Rails!! Huge discount. This Sunday 12:30 pm till 4pm at the clubhouse! Ladies fashion and designer wear including coats, jackets, dresses, tops, trousers, jewellery, bags, summer footwear and lots more. Also Car Bar Boot Sale with Children's toys and books, DVDs, games household goods, plants, cakes, sports gear etc. Great bargains all in aid of Club Blazing Saddles Cycle fundraiser

·         The next Bingo night is on Friday 26th June. Great night guaranteed.

Match Reports

·         Congrats to the Senior Hurlers on beating St Vincents in Championship. FT score 2-20 to 0-8. That win guarantees a place in the quarter finals. Well done to all involved.

·         Hard luck to the Junior Hurlers who lost their championship match against Ballinteer by one point. The team are still in the quarter finals. Well done to all involved.

·         Great win for the U14 footballers coming from 10 points down in the second half to win by 5 points. Great performances from Sean Kiernan, Dean McCabe, Shane Kelly, Sean Alexander and Conor Dunne.

·         Great display against Ballyboden for the U12s built on the foundation of David Cleary between the posts. The other game went Raheny’s way but great performances from Ruairi McDonald and Conor Tierney.

·         Well done to the boys U11 team who won the Kilmacud “C” blitz. They all played great winning 5 of their 6 games beating Cellbridge by a point in the final. Thanks to Eoin Kiernan for stepping up from the U10s to help.

·         A really excellent all round performance on Saturday by the U9 hurlers who played Clontarf in St Anne’s. Excellent skills and great physicality shown. In particular man of the match performances came from Cathal Brady and Kyle Kane.

Other News

·         Congrats to Katie Ryder from the U13s who played Camogie for Dublin in Mallow on Sunday. She did the club proud.

·         The ticket book for the Leinster Football Semi-Finals Dublin v Kildare and Meath v Westmeath on June 28th is still at the club bar but will close this Sunday.

·         Naomh Barróg Golf Society next outing is to Beaverstown next Friday week June 26th. Time sheet is now at the bar.

·         There is now a full range of the very popular Marley training tops available in the club shop. Prices are €30 for juvenile sizes and €40 for adult sizes.
