Important Notices

·         This year’s major Naomh Barróg Fundraiser is the Blazing Saddles 100km cycle. The application form and all the details about the cycle are attached. This event will take place on Saturday the 12th of September. Let the members of the committee know if interested.

·         The Annual Golf Classic will take place on Friday the 31st of July in St Annes Golf Club. €300 for a team of four. Contact Andy Cassidy 0872614849 to enter your team.

·         The club are running the All-Ireland Final ticket draw again this year. Top prize is two tickets to the All-Ireland Final and a stay in the 5 star Clontarf Castle Hotel with 4 course dinner and breakfast. Cash prizes for 2nd and 3rd. Tickets cost €10. These are available behind the bar or from Ciaran Kenny 0876725457. Draw is limited to 600 tickets so get them fast. We need help from all teams to make this fundraiser a success.

·         Mini Leagues this Saturday.

·          The dates for the summer camps are as follows: Football – 6th to 10th of July, Hurling - 13th to 17th of July, Advance Camp – 20th to 24th of July. Registration takes place from 10AM – 12PM on Saturday mornings. Please register early to avoid disappointment as places are limited.

·         All part membership payments must be completed by Tuesday 30th June.


·         Live music from The Connections in the club this Saturday. All welcome.

·         The next Bingo night is on Friday 26th June. Great night guaranteed.

Match Reports

·         Congrats to the Junior A Footballers on beating St Brigids in the league by 3 points.

·         Well done to the Minor Hurlers who beat Ballinteer 5-13 to 1-14. Three goals from Mark Byrne and two from Paul Tolan.

·         The Minor B Footballers gained a draw against Whitehall. Good performances from Eamon White with 1-5 and Aaron O’Mahony in defence.

·         Fantastic team display against Ballyboden with star showing from Sean O’Reilly and Ruairi McDonald. High scoring game against Naomh Olafs which went their way but good performance and well supported by some U11s.

Other News

·         Thanks to all the members who attended the reunion on Friday. It was a great occasion enjoyed by all. Thanks to all involved in organising the event and congratulations to the new honorary members.

·         Thanks to all who supported the Barróg Bazaar / Off the Rails sale in the club on Sunday.

·         Good luck to Jason Byrne who is competing in the Puc Fada this week.

·         Tickets for the Leinster Football Semi-Finals can be collected in the clubhouse on Thursday from 8Pm to 10PM.

·         Naomh Barróg Golf Society next outing is to Beaverstown this Friday June 26th. Time sheet is now at the bar.

·         There is now a full range of the very popular Marley training tops available in the club shop. Prices are €30 for juvenile sizes and €40 for adult sizes.

·         Good luck to the Senior Footballers who face Lucan away in the league tonight at 7:30. All support needed.

·         Good luck to the Ladies Footballers who face Na Fianna in Barróg in the league tonight at 7:30. All support appreciated.

·         Good luck to the senior Hurlers in their two big league matches this week. Wednesday away to Commercials at 7:30. Saturday home to Setanta at 6:30. All support needed.
